Chikoo Festival
4.5 ★
Awesome I would say, for this festival i traveled all the way from Mumbai. If i compare it with Mumbai (Kholi Versova Seafood Festival) this Chickoo festival is 5 times cheaper and good value for money. For seafood lovers it's like heaven. Freshly caught cooked in traditional home spices served hygienically is all you can get . These villagers have indeed managed it professionally , loved the shows and performances it , planning to visit it next year too , Awesome!
Lynton D'SouzaNot only are they a wonderful way to spend a day, but I love discovering new food and products, especially from small passionate producers. First time I visited this festival and it’s totally worth the time. I will recommend this festival for sure who love to try variety of food and artwork.

Firoze MistryEveryear at Dahanu, the local gram panchayat organises a Chikoo Festival, here all come from mumbai,Pune, nashik,Surat, vadodra to spend time and savouring Chikoo sweets, shakes and also a tour to a Chikoo farm. There are locals who participate with there produce. There are food stalls where we have our lunch and snacks. There are locals tribal dance and folk sings. The best part of this festival is tour to the farm where they explain you the entire time schedule and process for growing chikoos. This place is worth visit every year.

Amit KudwaChikoo Festival happens every year on Bordi Beach. The festival is worth visiting with many stalls put up by local community and a vast number of items of Chikoo are at display and for sale. Items like Chikoo Barfi, Chips, Chocolates, Candies, Cheese cakes, Brownie etc. all made by Chikoo. Bordi Beach is a beautiful beach and one can go for long walks. It doesn't seems to be a very crowded beach, but was little dirty may be because of the festival happening around. Also, you can try Shiv Pani Puri which is 2 kms from the beach and is quite famous in that area.
